The Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion (EHMC) is a ministry for a properly formed, instructed, and commissioned lay person. The EMHC assists the priest and deacon in distributing Holy Communion during Mass. EMHCs should be Catholics able to receive Communion, trained in the Diocese, and granted permission from our pastor. More information can be found here - https://www.usccb.org/prayer-and-worship/the-mass/order-of-mass/liturgy-of-the-eucharist/extraordinary-ministers-of-holy-communion-at-mass.
