Altar Server

Altar servers at SJL should be in the fourth grade and should be vigilant and focused during Mass. A registration form is required and servers must also enroll in the Ministry Scheduler program (see link below). All servers are required to be trained by the ministry leader, Deacon Richard or one of our lay trainers. Servers receive a training booklet that they should review prior to serving. Servers should also arrive 15 minutes before Mass to prepare their vestments, light the candles, and receive instructions from the deacon and priest before heading to the baptismal font in the back of church.
