Our children make a weekly sacrifice to their friend, Jesus, by offering the best of their time (like cleaning their rooms without being told or holding the door open for another), their talents (offering Him their best at soccer or doing well on a test in school), and their treasure (a little portion of their allowance or something they’ve earned from doing chores).
All the things that you do, that you give your best effort toward,
are pleasing to God and make Him happy.
Offering these gifts to Him during Mass, is very special to Him –
because YOU and what YOU do, are always special to Him!
Every member of Noah’s Buddies receives a wallet of stewardship envelopes, each with a unique Christian lesson on one side. The envelope titled, “The Hand of God”, carries the following explanation:
“This is a symbol of God as creator and protector. The image of God’s hand is found in the creation story and in the psalms. It reminds us of the way God gently guides us, guards us, blesses us and supplies all our needs.”
On the reverse side, the envelope reads:
“I’m one of Noah’s Buddies. I have shared
and then sign their name.
During the Offertory at Mass, the children approach a beautiful, handcrafted Ark to contribute their gifts. The children of Noah’s Buddies determine where the money collected will be donated.
Noah’s Buddies offers families a wonderful opportunity to teach children, preschool age through 5th grade, about stewardship – that it is a joy to give and it is good to share with others.
