Mark your calendar for Trivia Night – Saturday, January 21, 2017. It’s a zany-brainy evening of fun to benefit St. John LaLande Parish and the Knights of Columbus. Trivia Night is an evening of fun and fundraising featuring challenging questions, bonus games, team themes, and . . . did we mention FUN?
Now it’s easier than ever to sign your team up with our new Trivia Knights Website! Go to www.triviaknight6506.wix.com/kofc for more information. Click on the “Sign Your Team Up” link to download the form and follow the instructions.
Doors open at 6:00 pm and Trivia Night begins at 7:00 pm in the St. John LaLande School Gymnasium. The cost for a table of 8 or less is $120.00. You can bring the Food, Drinks, and Décor for your team table as the theme for the event will be COUNTRY AND WESTERN. We’ll also provide beer, soda and setups.
The number of tables is limited to 35 and R.S.V.P’s and funds must be received as soon as possible to get your table reserved. Team tables for eight are reserved on a paid, first‐come‐first served basis.

ANNUAL SJL PARISH CLOTHING DRIVE
The clothing collection is Sunday, November 13 – Tuesday, November 15
Please bring your donations to the Parish Center. CLOTHING ONLY PLEASE.
Monday, November 14 through Wednesday, November 16 is our GIANT CLOTHING SALE! THE HOURS ARE 12 NOON TO 8:00 PM.
Please note: EVERYONE is invited to the sale. Clothing is not priced and a free will donation is accepted. These donations will be used to purchase necessities by St. Vincent DePaul for those in need. Also please help inform families in the area that the clothing is available to them at no charge.
Volunteers are needed for the clothing sale at times noted above, and Monday morning November 14 at 8:00 am or after to help distribute clothing to tables and hanging racks.
Thank you for helping in this Outreach Ministry and all the assistance you continue to give the St. Vincent DePaul Society and the people in our community.

PITCHING FOR PRIESTS
Please join us for the 3rd Annual Pitching for Priests Softball game at Community America Ballpark, T-Bones Stadium in the Kansas City, Kansas Legends shopping area on FATHER’S DAY, Sunday June 19, 2016 at 5:00 pm.
Player introductions, National Anthem, and the first pitch will begin at 4:45 pm.
If you order tickets online they will be available at the game (will call) as we will not ship tickets out.
Baby Bottle Drive

By filling a bottle with your change, cash, or checks you are supporting unborn babies and their mothers in our community. Your donations will help share love, support and truth with those in need. Simply return the filled bottle for collection by May 22 and your spare change will be used to change lives by assisting in the purchase of an ultrasound machine.

In conjunction with the Walk-a-thon the Serra Club is sponsoring a Clothing Fund Drive. Throughout the weekend of May 6th-8th gently worn clothing, shoes, hats, belts and
purses will be accepted at the Clothing Fund Trailer. Please help us honor our Sisters who do so much for the Church by supporting both events. Funds are used to support the ministries of the Sisters. Please mark your calendars and start cleaning out your closets now.

St. John’s ANNUAL GARAGE SALE begins Monday, April 18th.
Please bring your donations to the Parish Center the weekend of April 16th. The garage sale is the largest fundraiser of the year. All ladies of the parish are invited to help make this event a huge success!
Please bring items that are in good condition and suitable for resale. We CANNOT accept to sell; large appliances, cribs, car seats, beds or mattresses. Thanks so much for your help. We made twice as much last year as the year before. Let’s do that again!
All proceeds go to pay for St. John’s Altar, Sacristy, and Rectory needs. We NEED HELP to sort donations on Sunday, the 17th and every day that week, to sort & sell items.
