With questions, contact Amy at 229-3378 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Lead Teacher Needed
Our class sizes are growing! We’d like to split our 3rd and 5th grades into two classes but need lead teachers to do so. Please consider volunteering your time with PREP.
Lead teachers are given teacher guides and lesson plans. All necessary supplies are also supplied by the parish. PREP meets Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:45 pm, teachers are asked to arrive at 6:00.
For more information, contact Amy at 229-3378 or email@example.com.
Annual SJL Auction Saturday, November 11th
Venue: St. Michael the Archangel High School
Thank you for your continued support!
August will start off our bell ringing season here at SJL. We are beginning this year by inviting parishioners to come try your hand(s) at bell ringing with a FREE workshop here in the church on Tuesday, August 8th from 7-8:30 pm. Our very own Jill Endaya, a member of the wonderful Kansas City-based bell ensemble Rezound! will be leading the workshop.
Whether you are a bell ringing aficionado or wanting to learn, come and join in the fun!
PREP registration forms were mailed this week to registered parishioners with children in kindergarten through 8th grade. If you did not receive a registration and would like to enroll your child in PREP, contact Amy at 229-3378 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Lead teachers are responsible for putting together and implementing a weekly lesson plan for their class of 10-15 students. Classes meet Wednesday evening and about 1 hour of advance preparation is needed. Each lead teacher has an adult assistant in the classroom with them.
Assistant teachers are the extra set of hands in the classroom. Assistants often take attendance, check homework, and listen to children recite prayers. An assistant teacher helps the class run smoothly. Little-to-no advance preparation is necessary.
The PREP program welcomes children in kindergarten-8th grade and volunteers must meet diocesan safe environment requirements.
We currently need 2 lead teachers and 4 assistant teachers. If you are interested or would like more information, contact Amy at email@example.com or 229-3378. Thank you!
What a fun summer we’re having and there’s MORE faith, service, and fellowship yet to come! Mark your calendars for the following events. New members are always welcome!
